Summer 2024

Welcome to online registration for the 2024 Summer Season!

We are so excited to have Coach Mary Bridget Maddan joining the gators and leading the team this year!  She comes to us with many years of coaching experience and we are so lucky to have her.  Returning to the gators as our Assistant coach is Mien Vinh Hoang, along with our Junior Assistant coaches Cat Hoang and Reese Roberts.

We are thrilled to have a great new coach along with some long time Gators returning to assist this season!

If you don't already have an online account setup on our website, you'll be asked to set one up as you complete the registration process.  This online account will allow you to track your swimmer's meet results and sign-up for volunteer times.

Registration cost includes team shirt and team swim cap.

We're looking forward to another great season.  Practices are slated to start April 23rd and 24th (evaluation of new swimmers only, full team to start April 29th) with the first meet on May 27th. The competition season concludes with the All Stars on July 2nd.  More information regarding practice times and complete meet schedule can be found under "schedule."  *ALL DATES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE*

Meet Team Policy

To be part of the Meet Team (e.g. participate in swim meets), swimmers must meet certain eligibility requirements by the Mock Meet held at the end of May. Following are the eligibility requirements to be on the Meet team:

  • 8-under swimmers must be evaluated by a coach prior to practice.
  • 7-10 year-old swimmers must have a working knowledge of all four strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly) and should be legal (e.g. have meet-qualified form) in at least two strokes.
  • 11 and older swimmers must be able to swim two lengths of the pool (50 yards) in at least three strokes.

**2024 Practice Team Status:  - ALL 6 and under swimmers must be evaluated by our coaching staff. Coaches will make the final call on team participation. **

Any swimmer not able to meet the qualifications will be placed on the Practice Team. The practice team will practice during regular team practices but not eligible to swim in meets. If at any time a swimmer on the practice team demonstrates to a coach they can meet the requirements, they will be placed on the Meet team, if space is available on the team. Members of the practice team will have all other team benefits such as trophies, banquet and social events. No refund will be given for swimmers placed on the practice team.  REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN IF SWIMMER DOES NOT PASS COACHING EVALUATION AND WE ARE NOT ABLE TO HAVE A PRACTICE TEAM.

Volunteer Agreement

I understand that the Sugar Creek Gators is a volunteer organization and that my participation is essential to the efficient operation of our team. I further understand I am required to work a minimum of 5 shifts (shift equals 1/2 of a meet) during our regular swim meets, mock meet, and Divisional Championship Meet.   I understand that I may have to fill different positions than the ones I select during registration. I also understand if I do not select a volunteer job that I will be assigned one by the Volunteer Coordinator.  I understand that if I do not fulfill my volunteer obligations my swimmer could be restricted in meet participation.
