Mary Bridget Maddan is excited to coach the Sugar Creek Gators this summer. Originally from Columbus, Ohio, she moved with her family to NW Houston in 2013. They relocated to Sugar Land in 2023. Mary Bridget has been around the pool for most of her life. She started swimming summer league at the age of 6 and continued swimming competitively alongside many other sports. Mary Bridget played soccer at Denison University earning her English and education degree, then her master's degree from the University of South Carolina in library science. Over the past many years, she has been a teacher, teacher librarian, club and summer league swim coach, swim lesson instructor, and soccer coach. Recently, Mary Bridget helped coach a summer league team in the NWAL division in Cypress, taught swim lessons in backyards and summer league pools, and taught in elementary and middle schools. Mary Bridget is an avid runner, swimmer, yogi, biker, and reader. She and her husband have four children who swim competitively and keep them busy!
